It was the 7th time in a row for team rhino’s Leipert from Wegberg to race at the 24 h Dubai race in the VAE which was held between 12th and 14th January, 2012; and all their efforts were rewarded with a 9th place in the total ranking with over 70 vehicles participating.
For the 7th time in a row, team rhino’s Leipert from Wegberg participates in the 24h Dubai race in UAE which is held between 12th and 14th January, 2012. Once again, the team from Wegberg has international drivers at the start in a field of over 80 vehicles. Their driver team consists of Germans Tobias Neuser (21) and Marcel Leipert (27), Finn Mika Vähämäki (22), French Jean-Marc Merlin (47) and Czech Jan Štovíček (36).
Team rhino’s Leipert Motorsport had good reasons to celebrate on Sunday evening at the Hockenheimring, because Nils Mierschke won two titles in his Ford Fiesta ST in Div. II of the ADAC Procar series – and that although this was his first season! In 2008 already, rhino’s Leipert and Christopher Mies won the championship in Div. II of the ADAC Procar series, and in 2010, the team and Benedikt Boeckels were runner-up.
The final of the ADAC GT Masters 2011 was satisfactory for team rhino’s Leipert Motorsport. Whilst the team from Wegberg had bad luck during the first race once again, the German/Finish duo David Mengesdorf/Mika Vähämäki gained points as they finished the second (last) race of the season in 7th place.
After races 13 and 14 of div. 2 of the ADAC Procar which were held on the TT circuit in Assen, Holland, team rhino’s Leipert Motorsport and Nils Mierschke are ahead by a nose in the championships as Mierschke got first and second place in his Ford Fiesta ST.
